collaboration of Loggia Industria Vernici with the Science and Technology Park of Southern Lazio (Palmer) and the Sapienza University of Rome to the Co.Research project; published in collaboration with Prof. Luigi Campanella , for the First International Congress of Sustainable Chemistry (Green Planet Chemistry), the work entitled "Stabilization of Photocatalytic Paintings".
INTRODUCTION OF THE PROJECT
The development and diffusion of photocatalysts based on Titanium Dioxide , have had in the last decade, a significant and growing application in building materials and decorative products used in construction, in order to combat outdoor environmental pollution and improve the air quality of indoor environments.
Numerous researches have shown and documented that TiO2 in nanometric form, properly photo-stimulated, is able topromote decomposition reactions and significantly reduce the presence of pollutant substances and microorganisms. [1,2,3].
