Loggia Industria Vernici's collaboration with the Southern Lazio Science and Technology Park (Palmer) and Sapienza University of Rome on the Co.Research project; the paper “Stabilisation of Photocatalytic Paints”, published with Prof. Luigi Campanella for the First International Congress on Sustainable Chemistry (Green Planet Chemistry)

INTRODUCTION TO THE PROJECT

Over the last decade, the development and spread of photocatalysts based on titanium dioxide have seen significant and increasing application in building materials and decorative products used in construction, in order to combat outdoor environmental pollution and improve the air quality of indoor environments.

Numerous studies have demonstrated and documented that TiO2 in nanometric form, when suitably photo-stimulated, can promote decomposition reactions and significantly reduce polluting substances and microorganisms. [1,2,3].
