WHO and I.S.S. data In Italy, the Ministry of the Environment defines indoor pollution as the presence, in the air of enclosed spaces, of chemical, physical and biological pollutants not naturally found in outdoor air. Indoor air is always more polluted than outdoor air, because these additional elements are added to air that is already polluted.
